More About Me
With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership, I’ve worn many hats—founder, strategist, team builder, and problem solver. I’ve helped launch three startups, weathered five company acquisitions, and navigated the tricky waters of transitioning from fast-moving startups to the structured world of enterprise culture. Along the way, I’ve worked in both product and service-based organizations, including several years at a Big Four consulting firm. I’m proud of my career accomplishments and I’m thankful for the opportunities I have had to grow both personally and professionally. I strive to provide those same opportunities to those I work with.
Throughout my career, I’ve taken on leadership roles across the business spectrum—from technical and product leadership to people and strategic leadership. One of my proudest accomplishments has been developing strategies for global team engagement long before remote work became the norm. I love diving into complex problems and bringing clarity and momentum where it’s needed most. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves whenever needed. I’m happiest when I can blend hands-on involvement with big-picture thinking.
Some of the work I’m most proud of includes:
- Developing a product-based talent model and a set of leadership metrics that help drive more inspiring leadership outcomes across organizations.
- Coaching over 100 individuals through their AWS certification journey
- Implementing new employee driven initiatives that earned recognition in Canada’s Top 100 Employers program.
- Earning Certified Pricing Professional designation from the Professional Pricing Society and playing a key role in supporting a global network of product leaders.
- Building phase-based product KPIs to measure success across the software development lifecycle & maturity curve
- Developing IP protection strategies for multiple organizations, and authoring several patents along the way.

My Personal Passions
Outside of work, I’m a husband, a proud dad to three amazing kids, and a lifelong learner who thrives on creativity. Whether I’m in my woodworking shop, playing games with my family, or exploring the great outdoors, I’m always up for a new adventure. I’m also an active volunteer with Scouts Canada, my local archery club, and our regional soccer association—mentoring youth and giving back to my community is a big part of who I am.
I’m also a big advocate for Mental Health. I’m transparent about my own challenges and struggles, and I channel that experience in to creating safe spaces for others to share their own. I’ve developed strategies to keep balance in my personal and professional life and I share those with those around me who are facing similar mental health journeys in the hopes of helping them to avoid some of the challenges I’ve faced. To that end, I’ve had to opportunity to develop several mental health training programs and workplace mental health policies that I am proud of.
Everything in life is about balance. I work hard and I play hard, but I always make time to recharge my batteries when they get low. If there’s a quiet forest or an ocean nearby, that’s probably where you’ll find me.
